After the v2.4 upgrade, the Soundcloud Is Gold shortcode produces only the following message: “You have not provided a valid SoundCloud URL. Learn more about using SoundCloud players.”

Disabling all other plugins doesn’t make any difference.

After reverting to v2.3.3, everything works properly again.

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Could you give more details about the error? For example where is this occurring (Widget, Options, post)? Could you also give me the souncloud username you’re using so I can try to replicate the issue? If you are using Chrome, you can right click on the page, select inspect, click on the “console” tab and then refresh the page, can you see any error messages (in red)?

Have you tried clicking “saving settings” in the Options panel and on the widget panel?

OK, I found the root of the problem, I made a fix and will release version 2.4.1 soon.

Please let me know if the new version fixes your issues and I will close this thread.

If you’re happy with next release please leave a review.

    Cheers

    Thanks a lot!

I’m getting the same issue even after just updating the plugin to Version 2.4.1.

You can see an example at https://www.mishkanchicago.org/interior/examples/

This is a Divi site and the player looks fine in the preview when selecting a Soundcloud to insert, but on the front end it just gives the url error. WordPress is also on the latest version.

Same issue using Version 2.4.1 tracks show up in plugin setting however when using the insert player or shortcode option I get “You have not provided a valid SoundCloud URL. Learn more about using SoundCloud players.” Please help. https://prophecypaththeory.com/introduction-what-will-we-talk-about/ wordpress 4.7.2

Thanks for your message. I would need more informations around the issue, like your soundcloud username. Also, did you take a look at the plugin FAQs? It could be a conflict with another plugin, have you installed multiple soundcloud plugins while developing you site?

    @prophecypaththeory
Thank you too for the message, it seems to be working fine on your website, did you find out what was wrong? Same thing here, I would need more informations around the issue, like your soundcloud username for example.

    Hi,

Soundcloud seems to just have decided to make a change without warning (as they usually do).

I will have to make an update.

    Cheers

    Hi,

The plugin has been updated to version 2.4.2 and any issues with player not showing for some users should be fixed.

Please let me know if it’s working for you now.

Thanks you very much for your patience.
