• Hi, I just installed this plug in on my site https://belgianfoodie.com and am having several problems. So far, I’ve noted 3:
    1. I’ve checked for the events to show in the Blog loop, but nothing shows there. My event shows great on the Event page, but does not feature in my blog section. It’s not categorized as a post, but an event…and the two do not meet apparently. I’ve followed the instructions in the tutorial by adding the code in the functions.php and have seen no change. If I change the “event” to a “post”, then it appears in my blog, but without the event information at the bottom.
    2. I keep getting an empty event showing up in my blog and publishing itself. This means a new (empty) post keeps showing up by itself and being sent to Facebook and Twitter! This is a major problem since I don’t want people to open up a link to an empty page on my site! I don’t know if this is related to the first problem since I checked for the event to show up in the blog loop, however, the title of my event post is the name of the venue (different from the title chosen for my event), even if the venue matches with the venue for my event.
    3. Small question: I did not check off for the Events Calendar link on the bottom to show…not because I don’t want to support, but because it already shows on its own. Checking or unchecking it seems to have no effect, just like checking or unchecking the blog loop has no effect. That’s why I mention it here.

Many thanks for help on these 3 (related?) questions.

    Howdy Beligan Foodie,

I would love to help you with that.

    1. It sounds like your theme will require some customization. Having events show up as a regular post (without info) is all that can be done on our end. If you would like additional information to show in the main blog loop, you must customize your theme’s main blog loop to include that extra information such as event dates and so forth. I wish this was easier, but there is no real way to make it easier. ??

    2. That is very strange. Not an issue I have ever seen before. Like the result of a “conflict”. In order to proceed you will need to test if a “conflict” is happening, and if so narrow it down so a fix can be found for it.?This guide?walks you through how to test for a conflict,?and then?identify what is conflicting.

    3. Like that above that is weird. That link definitely does not show by default, and I have never seen it persistently show up before without you selecting the option to make it show up (which you have disabled). Once again this sounds like a conflict. Would you mind testing for those?

    Cheers!
    – Brook
