Fake path not showing – attachment field

Hi Flo, I had another look at the following forms in Firefox and Google Chrome and both forms work.

Form 2 is the same as Form 1 (I mean old, untouched by me and working), it is only the form on the test page (https://inboxtranslation.com/test-page/) that is not working and I need it done.

Hi Flo this is very strange. Create a page and call it what ever you want. In that page add a default form and only add one extra field to attached a file. Another words this from should have only five fields.

Lets see if this works.

Hi Flo, the reason why I mentioned another page because maybe your test-page is corrupted somehow. Can you create a page give a name”different name altogether” and only have the default fields plus an attachment field that is all. This will allow me to test whether my theory is right ??

Can you test a different theme like Twenty Thirteen or so from wordpress? What theme are you currently using? Can you also update to the latest version.

I’m afraid I can’t change the theme as this is a live site (it’s a custom built one based on Genesis framework) and this shouldn’t affect it in any way as it works with other forms. Wouldn’t you agree?

Hi Flo, many times it is a theme that causes problems with a plugin or plugins. That is not to say that it is the themes fault as it could be the plugin that is coded incorrectly. However because you mentioned

(it’s a custom built one based on Genesis framework)

That lets me to believe that your theme could be causing this conflict on the attached field in your contact form.

Have you got a testing site? It would be great if you did so that you could test this theory of mine.

I see what you mean but what about the other forms that work just fine? Wouldn’t the supposedly bad theme affect the others forms too?
