However, it’s clearly stated on more than one place in plugin header and description here on www.ads-software.com this: “Please note: The plugin requires the Genesis Theme Framework.”
–> This plugin uses special functions from Genesis Framework and therefore can only work with it. It’s useless otherwise. Always read the description and installation advises before.
The message you were getting is just the “last” note for users, as otherwise – if this activation hook would be not there – it would lead to more harming errors. And this should just be avoided therefore you saw the message you just quoted above.
There’s no fake anywhere with this plugin – it has more than 15,000 downloads and thousands of happy & satisfied users!
Please don’t write such “reviews” if you didn’t use the plugin – this is not helpful for any other users as well as not for us developers.
I would be happy if you could correct your “review” here or maybe change this to a support request. Use the plugin’s support forum here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/genesis-widgetized-footer
And, Genesis Framework can only be bought via https://StudioPress.com website. My own websites don’t allow any registrations ??
If you don’t use Genesis then you not need this plugin. I hope you’ll then will find your needed solutions anywhere else. In any case I would be more than happy to help you find a working solution for footer customization.
