falang for enfold theme?

    Would it be possible to have Falang adapted also for the Enfold theme? It’s the second most popular next to Divi. I loved Falang on Joomla, would also like to try it out on WP.
    I tried the free version on the theme, but when uninstalling it leaves the site completely messed up.

    Hi Rob,

    Falang work with all themes, i have just make a special plugin to enable the module translation directly on divi, it’s not necessary to duplucate the page
    Plugin name “Falang for Divi” on faboba.com site

    This is not normal your site is messed up, falang don’t touch the default language installed. All translation are done in the meta.

    Hi Stéphane,

    Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately, with the Enfold theme string translations for example (widgets) will not save. And I have not tried everything out yet, but there may be some issues with the custom taxonomy as well.
    Your help is much appreciated.
    I can set up a development copy of the site and will contact you through faboba.com when I have it up. Is that something which would be helpful and doable for you?

    Hi,

    For widget title the translation must be done like you do in the string translation menu.
    But the string in the content of the widget must be translated in the Falang > option page.
    If a widget support wpml string system, Falang can use it too.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick response and info. I will try it out (I have just reinstalled Falang on a dev site, so everything is new to be done).
    A copy of the site is a bit difficult (310MB), but I will set up a separate development site, adjust the reverse proxy and let you know when it is done.
    Then I can give you access. Is that OK? It will take me a little time to set it up.

    Thanks for all the help so far and the upcoming fixes. Brilliant support!
    Glad you found out that the site messed up when uninstalling was due to a previously installed and uninstalled Polylang and subsequnet installation of Falang. Glad to hear that you are going to tackle this too!
