• Here is my setup – I have two wordpress websites with Super Page Cache plugin installed
    https://nikolay100.com/
    and
    https://nikolay100.com/travel/

I placed some code in the .htaccess files for both installation in order to redirect the www pages to non-www. The code is working very well for the main installation – https://nikolay100.com/
But not for the second one. And I found that the Super Page Cache plugin is the reason – the fallback cache in particular.

When I test the redirection for https://nikolay100.com/travel/ with the https://freetools.seobility.net/en/redirectcheck/ tool it says that the www pages are not redirected. Also if I test it manually it does not work as w

And then when I clear the Fallback cache from the plugin and redo the test it starts working immediately. Then after some time, it stops again.

Please advise what is the connection between the .htaccess and the Falback cache in order to find the culprit.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi @nikolay100,
I honestly don’t see how the fallback cache can be the cause of the redirection isssue as it does not have any redirections function. But when I tested https://www.nikolay100.com/travel/ on my end it got properly redirected to the non WWW version. Every time I have tried.

Can you please confirm that you are still having this issue? Moreover, try disabling fallback cache inside the plugin to see if that helps.
