• Edit:

Increased stars to 3, due to PR leeching link in lower right hand side of screen and complete lack of templates.

    Original Post:

This is the third “ComingSoon” plugin I have tried tonight and each one doesn’t allow contributors, authors, editors to login to wp-admin. This one however has a selection box to allow you to set user level unlike the other 2 I have tried. However it fails to work.

I’m running a fresh WP install with X theme, Ubermenu, Jetpack, Updraft backups, Mailpoet, All in One SEO, Bulletproof Security, Contact form 7, Contact Form DB, Redirection, Simple share buttons.

All of which have no interaction with WP-Users…

What’s the point in a coming soon plugin that doesn’t allow admins, designers, and authors to all work on a new website? Is it the administrators job to post articles?

you mean that our plugin does not restrict access for some not standard wordpress login’s?

I have the plugin set to allow contributors and above the access to view wp-admin and bypass the plugin. As you can see from the image I have also whitelisted the username “comingsoon” as well as setting the contributor level.

In any case – I still can’t check it, your site say “server not found”. If you have issues with our plugin – please write to support forum, we always try to resolve them to make our software better.

How ironic, every time you check it it’s “server not found”?
Yet Pingdom 5 minute scans aren’t showing any downtimes.

https://i60.tinypic.com/207wb5d.jpg Can’t see any attempts to visit the website either, apart from my own IP from yesterday.

Ive deleted the plugin and all data, checked database just to make sure.
But the problem still remains, so must be another plugin. Bullet Proof security is my guess, just too secure.

So apologies for the poor review, I’ll ramp it up to 3 stars (due to PR leeching) but I won’t go 4.

No such thing as “too secure” (incorrect terminology/phrase) in regards to the BulletProof Security plugin. Do the troubleshooting steps in the link below and then if something legitimate is being blocked by BPS it will be logged in the BPS Security Log. You would add a whitelist rule to BPS Custom Code to allow whatever is being blocked. Since BPS is a security plugin, the terminology used for BPS is different then most WP plugins.
