• Mashare is quite expensive to use. Not only do you have to purchase add-ons for specific tasks, such as counting Twitter shares. To count facebook shares, you must deploy sharedcount.com – an external service. Mashare claims that –?SharedCount.com?is a third-party service free for up to 10.000 daily requests. It collects shares for Facebook. But sharedcount.com states:”Just testing us out? Our Free Plan includes up to 500 daily queries.” So either Mashare programmers lied to get you to sign up or they “forgot” to adapt their plugin’s content. To get up to 10.000 queries a day you need to sign up for a US$ 40 / Month plan.

  • @manni65929 sharedcount.com recently adjusted their plans and lowered their API request limit. I will reflect this with the next MashShare update.

You can bypass this limit by increasing the MashShare cache expiration time to 24 hours or even more. This should be suitable even for very big websites.
