False Positive or hacked?

    Critical Problems:
    * File appears to be malicious: wp-content/uploads/backupbuddy_temp/9b2k396f9c/importbuddy.php

    Why do Wordfence detected this file as malicious or is it really harmful?

    Or is it really a false positive report of Wordfence I’ve seen a lot of posts out there wchich has the same question regarding this notification.

  • That is a false positive. The workaround to exclude the scanning of that file is to add *importbuddy.php* to the option to “Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns” under scan options.
