• *My situation*

I want to use Contact Form 7 with reCAPTCHA. When reCAPTCHA is included into the form all input messages are false-positively identified as spam. I get an error message with an orange border.

    *What I have tried*

I have removed reCAPTCHA from the contact form. Messages are accepted. I have added reCAPTCHA to the contact form. Messages are rejected.

I have checked the FAQ for Contact Form 7. I use no comment blacklist. I use no cache plugin.

I have deactivated all other plugins (for instance Akismet and Jetpack).

    But the problem persists.

    See https://contactform7.com/recaptcha/

    Double-check your reCAPTCHA configuration.

I have checked my reCAPTCHA configuration within WordPress, and both Site key and Secret key are correct. Is there anything else I should check?

I have not received an answer from the Plugin Author.
I have not found a solution to the problem described above.
I have given up on using Contact Form with reCAPTCHA.

I have resorted to use Contact Form 7 in combination with Contact Form 7 Honeypot by Nocean.

I have just now tried the contact form with Contact Form 7 (version 4.8) and reCAPTCHA , and apparently the problem has disappeared.

Test input message was not false-positively identified as spam. No error message with an orange border. Message was sent and delivered as is to be expected.

Updating now to Contact Form 7 (version 4.9).

I’m having this same issue, same situation

Using reCAPTCHA. Have no comment blacklist nor cache plugin.
All messages are falsely marked as spam (orange border error)

I have updated Contact Form 7 to v4.9, but I’m still having this problem
