False positive – UpdraftPlus

    WF just returned a false positive on UpdraftPlus (free) on base.php.
    updraftplus/vendor/phpseclib/phpseclib/phpseclib/Crypt/Base.php
    I checked the installed file against the original, no diff.

  • Hi @mikemp,

    Wordfence detected certain potentially malicious strings within that file. It wasn’t comparing the original with your copy.

    You can safely ignore that warning if you have made sure that the file was unmodified.

    Wordfence is ALWAYS detecting malicious strings in UpdraftPlus’ files, get used to it ??

    @stvx Yup, saw that. Was hoping that posting here would be one more small voice among the many asking for some sort of fix for this from the WF team.
