Fancy box not changing images in edge and chrome

Thanks for the report.

The 2.2.10 release made minor changes to the pro landing page in the admin area. It’s unlikely – basically impossible – that the changes in that specific release would have affected slideshows on specific browsers.

I did just test this, tho. I found that Fancybox Classic Reloaded auto slideshow / automatic image change is working fine on Chrome in 2.2.10. But for Fancybox V2, it is not. I rolled back and tested 2.0.6, and that also isn’t working for V2. So there’s a bug. I’m not quite sure when it was introduced. I will need to investigate.

A couple questions:
* Which lightbox are you using? (ie, Classic Reloaded, Legacy, or V2)
* When you updated, did you update from an older version? I’m wondering if you skipped past multiple versions and that’s why you’re seeing it now with 2.2.10.
* To confirm, when you say ‘automated image change’ your talking about the option named ‘Auto play slideshow’ correct? So you’re expecting your the lightbox to automatically flip through images once open.

In any case, there is at least some kind of bug here that I will fix. I also just want to be sure that what I’m fixing is the specific issue you are seeing.

Unfortunately, I’m out of town this week with limited time. But I will try to get a release out with a fix for this early next week.

I am using Classic Reloaded, but have also tried to switch to Legacy and V2 – and still have the same issue.

Yes, I am talking about the automated scroll which should also change the main image. The thumbnails are scrolling ok – but it seems that there is a disconnect to the main image which is not changing.

Sorry for the delay. Any chance you could provide a link to a working page so I can see the issue?

Also wanted to double check….you also said the ‘thumbnails are scrolling ok’. Do you have thumbnails in the lightbox? I ask because that’s not something that is in Fancybox Legacy of V2. Or do you just mean the gallery on the page (before you open the lightbox) is scrolling?

I tried rolling back to several different versions of Fancybox without any luck.

I have a suspicion that this error might be related to the use of domsubtreemodified in the code which was discontinued in Chrome and Edge by July 2024.

I will try to pursue this first – but thanks for your willingness to support!

Hi! Sure, feel free to troubleshoot and keep us posted.

In the meantime, since I know this isn’t working on V2, I will just work on directly figuring that out.

One note: best I can tell, ‘domsubtreemodified’ never appears in Easy Fancybox code. So if you are seeing an error related to that, it may be a plugin conflict (or could be unrelated).
