Fancybox not closing window

  • Hi,

    I have downloaded and installed fancybox and it is opening images in a lightbox, but it doesn’t have a close button or close when I click the image.

    Any thoughts. Sorry I can’t post link as it is on clients development.

    Also, If I can get it working I will need to put a white bg with a width of 100% behind the image. Is this possible with plugin or pro version?

  • Hi, it sounds like your site is using an incompatible jQuery version. Check which version is loaded in the page source. Also make sure there is only ONE jquery library file loaded.

    If the jQuery version is correct, then make sure all other FancyBox files and script snippets are present in the page source. Take a look at the browser script console to see if there are any errors reported.

    In the pro version you’ll have some options to control the overlay color and opacity. Is that what you’re looking for?
