• Hi,
currently I am running theme Meeta by WPZOOM (https://www.wpzoom.com/themes/meeta/). As I wanted to adjust the theme I created a child theme.

But now my fancybox doesn’t work properly anymore. If I click on an image the fancybox doesn’t open in the middle (vertically) of the screen, but somewhere at the bottom. If I click to the next image my fancybox even moves more down, until it extends the footer with the result that my design breaks up.

I also have a problem when using the normal lightbox: Even though I am at the end of a gallery I can switch to the next image, if another gallery is underneath (e.g. start page, with multiple posts with multiple galleries).

I am now looking for the cause in my child theme, but until now I can’t find it. First I have tried removing my custom CSS in nggallery.css – no effect. It’s also the same for the style.css from my Child-Theme.

In my child-theme I have just made little changes to my existing theme like adding a new sidebar, including a logo, etc… but nothing related to the Nextgen Gallery.

You can check out my problem here:

    Just click on an image.

When looking at the CSS attributes of the fancybox-wrap there’s a Top Attribute that gets increased, when switching through the pictures.

Do you have any ideas what could cause this problem? (The other lightbox effects work just fine)

    Regards,
    Imanuel

@mani04 – Have you tried just a default WordPress twenty series theme and only NextGEN Gallery active and get the same problem?

Yeah, that’s how i found out that it has to do something with my child theme. If I choose a default theme or the Meeta theme, everything works perfectly.

@mani04 – Thanks for the update.

The only thing that comes to mind in this case would be to look for possible “FancyBox” references in the Child-Theme or try turning off Lightbox Effects in NextGEN Gallery under Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects … set the drop-down to “no Lightbox”
