I download the “other” duplicator plugin and I just couldn’t work it out at all. I had installed the wp-tester program OK but I couldn’t figure out how I was supposed to load their downloaded archive etc. and my guess is that I was supposed to pay for their manual to tell me how to do it.

I needed to move a number of wordpress installations from one hostgator installation to another (from a shared account to a reseller) before changing over the nameservers. I managed to work out how to do this and the configuration was straightforward. Within an hour or so my sites were all moved and good to go. Since changing the nameservers, they are working absolutely fine. This is a FAR simpler method in my experience than other cloners/duplicators. Thank you very much for the excellent plugin!

Oh and you can bulk upload your files if you prefer (i.e. via file manager in your control panel) if you don’t want to wait around for all your files to transfer one by one via ftp.
