    Definitely a valuable plugin that should be build into core. I believe they have plans for this in future versions so maybe in the future this plugin will become redundant. In the meantime however, a fantastic plugin, the developer should be proud and I hope they continue to support is as they have done to date.

  • You’re welcome Paul. I’ll pass your praise onto the developer (we are now looking after development, not that much is needed now – just maintaining it!).

    There were plans to integrate the changes but it was abandoned. We’ll be updating the FAQ imminently, but basically WordPress decided against doing it because it might break some badly written plugins. In the end they only implemented clearing all transients upon a database upgrade (and then without optimising the tables afterwards, as this plugin does). Ho hum. But it keeps this plugin relevant if nothing else.
