• I upgraded using Fantastico to 2.2 today, and now WordPress can’t seem to find any of my link databases (categories, etc). This is the error(s):

WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'link_count' in 'where clause']
    SELECT * FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 AND link_count > 0 ORDER BY cat_name ASC

    and a load of these:

WordPress database error: [Table 'maceo87_wrdp1.wp_link2cat' doesn't exist]
    SELECT category_id FROM wp_link2cat WHERE link_id = 37 ORDER BY category_id

One for each link unidentified. Every time I upgrade something happens like this.

    here’s my url: https://matgiordano.com/blog

Also, I can’t moderate any of the hundreds of spam messages. It resolves to a blank screen.

It failed to upgrade your database properly.

Restore the database and the website’s files from your backup and then upgrade the thing yourself. Don’t trust “automated” installations, ever.

Thanks for the help! When I did the Fantastico upgrade, it had mentioned that it made a backup for me. Where would that reside on my server (And I bet it was just the database…not any .php files I may have tweaked…)

Fantastico should have put the old version of your site in yoursite.com.old. I know that’s howdreamhost works. I believe you need to restore the database to the point it was before the backup, too.
