• Does anyone know of a FAQ plugin? I would think it would retain questions in a database and then display them in a page. Also it would have sidebar tags to list FAQ categories.

  • Yay! It’s gone now…thanks Vaam! ??

    Hey Vaam…..Absolutely WONDERFUL plugin!! Thank you!!

    A question for you… I have added your CSS to my own, but it’s not making the “permalink” link look any different than the “question” link. I noticed that your CSS does not make use of the .faq_permalink, so I added it, but it’s not helping. What am I missing? I want to make it non underlined and #eeeeee.

    For that matter, is there a way to disable that permalink? I don’t really want it there at all. I see that your code is not to be changed, so I haven’t messed with it. ?? But the option to not display the permalink would be nice. Ditto for being able to change the wording of some minor things… like instead of “Question:” I’d like that to read “Question” (no colon) or perhaps even make the question itself the link! Or move the question up next to the word “Question:” rather than below it. Better yet, a “Q” and an “A” custom graphic!

    Just little tweaky formatting things, but as far as I can tell by your copyright notice, these are not OK for me to mess with. Think these features might be implemented in a new version soon? Or give permission to make these minor changes? ??

    kalico,

    Thanks for the suggestions.
    I’ll make those changes in the next version.

    Thanks Vaam, I look forward to it.

    A question for you… I have added your CSS to my own, but it’s not making the “permalink” link look any different than the “question” link. Yours is grey, and set away from the “question” link. I noticed that your CSS does not make use of the .faq_permalink, so I added it to mine, but it’s not helping. What am I missing? I want to make it non-underlined and #eeeeee.

    Also, it seems like all HTML is being stripped from my questions and answers. Anyway to avoid that?

    Thanks

    Found answers to two of my questions.

    a.faq_permalink {
    padding-left: 25px;
    color: #eeeeee;
    text-decoration: none;
    }

    at the bottom of my style sheet was the trick (to override the other “a” selectors) to making the permalink sit where I want it, and almost disappear into the background. Might use #ffffff to really make it vanish. ??

    And HTML is not being stripped — it was lost in moving from one table to another in mysql. Bummer. If anyone knows how to prevent that from happening in the future, I’d love to hear it.

    ??

    Is it only me or are the FAQ entries sorted in a quite random manner?

    Will you Vaam release an update that allows ordering the entries? Would be a great addition to an EXELLENT plugin!

    I was planning on asking that, does FAQ have a sorting option ? This would put the final icing on the cake,

    also I notice when the send email feature is used, its not sending email has anyone gotten this to work ?

    is send email for the person who asked the question or for othe admin

    License says I can’t modify plugin. It is however hard coded into english and I wan’t use my native language on my site. Is there any open source FAQ-plugin or plugin that may be translated into several languages without poking code?
