• I’m using the theme called FashionStyle

It has two menus by default. A top menu (next to the logo/title) that lists the pages on the side. A second menu (above the slider image) that lists the post categories.

I want to get rid of the menu that’s up by the title/logo completely. I also want to change the menu above the slider to show the Pages instead of the Categories. I’ll just have the categories in a widget on the side like most other themes.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks!

Sorry but your chosen theme is not released under GPL. Non GPL products are not welcome in the WordPress community. Official WordPress policy states that all plugins and themes that are publicly released are required to adhere to https://www.ads-software.com/about/gpl/

Any support requests for non-GPL products are usually ignored, in the interests of supporting the community and its freedoms.

More plainly, their themes are not welcomed here and we do not support them. They booby trap their work so that you cannot edit the footer.

Well, in case anyone else wants to do this, here’s what I figured out.

The top menu is controlled by this section:

    [non-GPL theme code removed]

Hmm, now if I could just figure out how to center it… tried a bunch of css things and can’t move the menu over.

I think you missed what Jan said above – we don’t support non-GPL themes here, sorry. You also might read this:

OH, heh. Just saw the reply up above about this theme being not welcome or whatever. That sucks. My wife just stumbled on it as she’s setting up a blog and needed a theme to use temporarily to at least get things up and running.

    Ah well.
