Fast & Great support – Does what we need

We needed a plugin that protects our media files for our custom customer portal solution based on WordPress. Data privacy was very important for us and also the possibility to set protection based on user roles and for specific users. With the extension “Access Restriction” and PDA Gold we found the (almost) perfect solution for us. Almost because protected media files are not hidden by default from the media library even though a user can’t access them – the user is still able to see meta data of the protected files. In our use case this was a major issue, because we have thousands of files uploaded to the media library that a are proteceted for most users – due to privacy reasons. However, we contacted the support and within a week we had a custom code snippet that hides protected files from the media library if a user hasn’t access to them – hopefully this feature gets add to the plugin with a future release! Hence amazing customer support! Also other questions we had prior to purchase were replied very fast and helped us to make the decision to buy the plugin.
