• The issue lies in the way the Adsense code is inserted into the page by the plugin which results in the addition of CDATA tag(s) to the Adsense script. Revisions result in additional CDATA tags (I had six or seven of these tags in a row.

    This *may* violate Google’s TOS, since their code must not be altered in any way. I spent several hours researching this issue on various forums and other resources and there does not seem to be a definitive answer, though the addition of CDATA tags in at least one instance did result in ads being rejected.

    I tested this with different themes (2012 and Opulus) with the same results.

    This is unfortunate as this plugin is incredibly easy to use– just a couple of click to place an ad wherever you want on a page. But is it worth the risk?
