Fastest way to manage a hosted WP site

Hi All, Our WP site is hosted in CA, USA. I’m the webmaster and maintainer of the site. I live in India. When I’m managing the site and updating pages, it takes a rather long time for the page updates to finish. I see some other options:

1. Set up virtual pc (like Remote Desktop Services) in CA and then remotely log into it to do my website management tasks. That way the only data I’m downloading is screen images (and I can adjust screen quality for faster speeds).
2. Set up an EC2 instance in a CA data center with some cloud service provider and log into that and open a remote browser. (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).

Should either or both of these options speed up my work? Anything I’m missing? I’m not a network expert, so I may be missing some important details.
