Fatal cURL version error after switching from test to live

I’ve been using the plugin for a month or so with testing API keys, no problem. Switched to live mode with live keys today and completely crashed my site. I was able to go in recovery mode to update the plugin but am still getting a cURL version error (system status is below error text).
