  • Hi @tanckom,

Based on what you are showing, you don’t have CURL extension on your server (‘Facebook needs the CURL PHP extension.’). If you wish to use Facebook api, you will need to have CURL PHP extension. That is your server issue. Please contact your host for that. Thanks.

You also might want to consider that when you post something showing the path to something, obscure anything prior to the WordPress install directory. And normally, I even obscure that.

    I hope this helps. ??

I didn’t want to have facebook, so i need anyway this CURL?

You really should have CURL extension installed because there are a lot of plugins that use it. (From my understanding of things).

I would suggest yes, ask your host to add it. You will have less headaches that way. Just my opinion, but I have always had to have it for many different plugins.

Here is a reference for you if you need to know what is the better set up for using WordPress on a server. And CURL is included there.

    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/42098/what-are-php-extensions-and-libraries-wp-needs-and-or-uses

That would be information better shared with your host if you have issues with anything else being required.

I can’t install cURL, how to disable these facebook feautures to use it without cURL?

If you go into Users Ultra Fields and edit the field for Facebook and choose not to show it on the registration form, then go to Settings and make sure Facebook is not checked it may work.

But if you aren’t able to get your host to install cURL, you are going to have issues with other plugins. As they mention on that link I provided, WordPress does use it. So, expect issues.

If your host isn’t willing to set up the server to use what is recommended for WordPress installs, I would suggest finding a host who has servers set up to use WordPress. I don’t make recommendations for hosts.

so, is it possible to transfair all my settings, mysql data and wordpress from 1 host to another?

If you are able to backup your site, you can transfer everything over to the new host. Make sure you backup the db and backup your files and then download them to your computer to transfer them.

Or, sometimes depending on the hosts (both sending and receiving) the account usually be transferred from one server to the other. You can ask your new host about that. Either way, I would suggest that you backup your site, both db and files and download them before any attempt to transfer.

I don’t know your arrangement, so specific help I cannot provide. If you have only ftp access to your site, I would suggest using a plugin such as Adminer https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/adminer/ to download a backup of your db. If you don’t know how to use that, I would suggest you ask someone with experience for help with it.

I am unable to provide that help.

    Okay thank you alot!
I tried it and the error is still showing up, is there not a way to edit Ultra users, that it won’t show up?

I’m not going to suggest editing Users Ultra. Every time the plugin is updated it would have to be edited again. Again, you need cURL. Thanks
