Fatal error

  • I installed the plugin and when I try to activate it, it says, “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.” Any ideas what would cause this?

    Did it give any error codes? Did you install it the normal way through the wp-admin dashboard? Who are you hosted with? Could you give us a link to your site please.

    Sorry, I think it was a coincidence this happened when I installed your plugin. I’m now having issues activating others as well. Error log shows things like:

    Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, referer: https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

    Timeout waiting for output from CGI script /public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, referer: https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin=swift-performance-lite%2Fperformance.php

    I think something is messed up at my host, trying to figure it out now.
