• Hi, Can anyone help with this fatal error message. It had suddenly occurred, I think it might because by the clash between the theme and the new WP updated version.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/customer/www/riotburgers.com/public_html/wp-blog-header.php:16 Stack trace: #0 /home/customer/www/riotburgers.com/public_html/index.php(17): require() #1 {main} thrown in /home/customer/www/riotburgers.com/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 16

Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thank you

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi James,

I have literally just done that As I have read ti in your previous responses, but no luck really.
the same error remains. Is it something to do with the blog-header file?

Ok, try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Hi James, Ok I think that did something.
I have the website back, All Plugins and theme are disabled. do I reactivate everything as normal or do I need to go one by one to see if the error is in the content?

Ok, reset those again, and re-activate them one by one this time, until you find the specific one causing the problem.
