• Hi,

    I have your plugin used on a number of products to display free text for the user to add a note. This was working correctly, up until a couple of days ago when some plugins were updated…now for any products which contains variations the following error is coming up.

    We are running WordPress v5.7.1 and Woocommerce 5.2.2

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to a member function get_category_ids() on bool in /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/product-add-ons-woocommerce/includes/Model/Group.php:344 Stack trace: #0 /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/product-add-ons-woocommerce/includes/Frontend/Product.php(522): ZAddons\Model\Group::getByProduct(false, false, true) #1 /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(294): ZAddons\Frontend\Product->add_to_cart_validation(true, '0') #2 /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(212): WP_Hook->apply_filters(true, Array) #3 /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-form-handler.php(904): apply_filters('woocommerce_add...', true, 51950, 1, '', Array) #4 /home/customer/www/coral.shopping/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-form-handler.php(790): WC_Form_Handler::add_to_cart_handler_variable(51950) #5 /home/custo in /home/customer/www/XXXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/product-add-ons-woocommerce/includes/Model/Group.php on line 344

    Thanks for flagging the issue. We performed conflict testing with both WordPress v5.7.1 and WooCommerce v5.2.2 and couldn’t reproduce the issue.

    We suspect another plugin conflict is occurring, especially if an update occurred and it worked previously. Please perform a full plugin conflict test on your setup. It’s easy, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and Product Add-ons. Verify the error is not occurring. One-by-one enable a plugin until the error occurs to identify which plugin is creating the conflict and provide us the results of the testing for us to review.

    Thanks for your message. I did what you stated, but now it seems to be working even with most of the plugins enabled…

    Thanks!
