Fatal error

  • The plugin is nice, but after I deinstalled it it kept all the test-changes I made and I could not longer change them.

    This is ab big NO. If I deinstall a plugin all the changes must be removed.

    Because I could not remember the name of the plugin, I had a problem and spent a lot of time searching it.

    After I found it and I could disable the changes.

    Code Snippets does have a clean-up uninstall procedure, but it’s disabled by default to prevent accidental loss of data.

    You can enable this by turning on the ‘complete uninstall’ option on the plugin settings page. See https://help.codesnippets.pro/article/30-complete-uninstall for more information.

    I can understand this, but is it not okay the plugin is not disabled after uninstall.

    I could mess up everything and it would be impossible to find the problem because the plugin causing the problems is uninstalled!

    If the plugin is disabled/removed then it will no longer have any effect on your site. The only thing that happens if you uninstall Code Snippets without enabling the Complete Uninstall option is you have some extra data in your database that isn’t touched by anything.

    @mara-z Did you read what Shea wrote you? You actually are safe when you fully remove the plugin. From the very start, we’ve never let anyone stuck with a crashed site after using a faulty snippet.
