I had a fatal error message on my site and was even locked out of my dashboard and couldn’t disable the plugin that way.

I see the plugin was update 3 days ago but I had this problem like 2 days ago. Can anyone explain when it’s safe to reactivate it?

Has anyone else had this problem?

  • Change the name of the plugin file from ftp, your website will open. This plugin is useless until the update comes.

    Hi @allegrojane,

Do you know what the fatal error was? Usually that means there is a conflict with a different plugin, or the theme on the site and the fatal error can help isolate what happened. If it is possible please post what the error was here.

For the Facebook for WC plugin in general, if the Fatal error is not related to it then it should be able to be updated normally through the Dashboard > Updates area.

It was detected that it was the FB for Woocommerce plugin that was causing the problem. I was advised by my web developer to await an update before re-enabling the plugin, saying it looked like it contained bad code.

    Hi there @allegrojane

Thank you for that information, we appreciate you letting us know what you’ve experienced.

If you have any details from the error such as logs or screenshots we’d be more than happy to review and see if we’re able to assist further. If you’d prefer to wait for an update that is a-okay but let us know if we can help.
