    I’m getting a fatal error with this plugin. All was well until I updated Divi today and some other plugins. I received a critical error alert on the site which was down. I disabled all plugins until I found that it was this one causing the issue. I cleared the server cache and a few more things and activated it again on the server side. The critical error was gone and and I activated it on the WP plugins side, I get “fatal error”.

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Attempt to assign property "plugins" on string in /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wow-carousel-for-divi-lite/freemius/start.php:74 Stack trace: #0 /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wow-carousel-for-divi-lite/wow-divi-carousel-lite.php(51): require_once() #1 /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wow-carousel-for-divi-lite/wow-divi-carousel-lite.php(78): wdc_fs() #2 /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php(2288): include_once('/home/preventio...') #3 /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php(192): plugin_sandbox_scrape() #4 {main} thrown in /home/preventionlinks/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wow-carousel-for-divi-lite/freemius/start.php on line 74

    I deleted it and reinstalled but get the same error.

    We’re on PHP 8.1

    I noticed the site is much faster now that this plugin has been deactivated. I’m guessing it’s because of the newer PHP version.
