Installed the testimonials widget yesterday, worked fine. LOVE IT! (see paintingcolumbiamo.com)

Installed again today – different domain but same theme. Am getting a fatal error message, it’s near the bottom of columbiamoroofrepair.com –
Fatal error: Call to undefined function has_post_thumbnail() in /home/postcard/public_html/columbiamoroofrepair.com/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/testimonials-widget.php on line 862

By the way, there are supposed to be 3 text boxes at the bottom of that page.

Bought the Premium version of the plugin and activated it – no change, not sure what to try. Thanks!

Are you running an older version of WordPress? has_post_thumbnail has been in WordPress since 2.9.0.

Could you please try using a default WordPress theme and let me know if you can use Testimonials Widget with that them?

The donated for premium add-on only offers read more links and caching at this point. It wouldn’t affect the “undefined function has_post_thumbnail” error message.

PS: Thank you for your kind words.

Version 3.3.1 – so not TOO old, I don’t think.

If I switch to the default theme do I lose all the settings/content?

I did notice that the other site – the one on which it’s working fine – is a newer version of WP, version 3.4.2. So if I upgrade the one on which it’s not working to a newer version of WP do you think that might help?

If I try that, should I uninstall or deactivate your plugins, first?

Go for deactivating the TW plugin before upgrading WordPress.

You can change themes without losing your widget settings and such. However, you’ll probably need to create a new Testimonials Widget to test with since I don’t think that 2011/2012 has footer widgets.

Once done testing, you can use the original theme again.

I upgraded WP and now it works – didn’t have to mess with the theme. THANK YOU!

One more question – can I change how quickly the testimonials change? Slow it down?

Look for the “Rotation Speed” on the widget options panel or use the refresh_interval option in shortcode to adjust the number of seconds between testimonial rotations.

I’m adding FAQ 44 for you with this.
