Fatal Error after manual upgrade

  • Hi All,
    I have just done a manual upgrade adn although everything appeared just fine and the upgraded Dashboard appeared to be OK, I have hit a problem and continually get the Fatal Error:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in /home/remedies/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 333

    Thais now prevents my from getting back to the Site or indeed Logging in to the WP-Admin.

    THank you for any help and advice anyone can offer to rectify this situation.

  • rename your plugins folder
    upload /wp-includes again
    now test site
    if works, rename plugin folder back to normal and activate plugins one by one
