Fatal Error after reattempting upgrade 3.6

    I am having serious problems upgrading to 3.6. My website crashed at the first attempt and I managed to reinstall by a manual upload of the FTP files.

    But it wasn’t working properly (I couldn’t upload photos being the main issue though there were several more minor ones) – so I backed up my site using Updraft Plus, deactivated all plugins and attempted to do another automatic reinstall of 3.6.

    It seemed to be working then halted at “installing the new files” – it was like this for around 2 hours. Realising this wasn’t right, I attempted to look at my website, but now all that I get is

    Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Locale’ not found in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage23/be/ng/al/bengalcatworld.com/public_html/home/wp-settings.php on line 286

    I get this on the admin page too and now I can’t do anything at all!

    Also, I have contacted my host on several occasions regarding these problems, they keep telling me it is a WordPress issue

    You should try the Manual update
    EDIT: don’t forget to

    Delete the old wp-includes and wp-admin directories on your web host

    before updating the files

    I have a problem witch publising images i get te the following error

    (?< at offset 19 in /var/www/vhosts/obsdepionier.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/router/mixin.url_manipulation.php on line 154

    The manual update has finally sorted out all my problems, thanks to all of you who have helped me along the way.
