    Hi there,

I restored a very old backup of my site. When trying to access the frontend, I get the following error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Filter_Embedded_HTML_Objects’ not found in /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes/hulu.php:279 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes.php(54): include() #1 /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes.php(71): jetpack_load_shortcodes() #2 /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.jetpack.php(469): require(‘/var/www/wptbox…’) #3 /var/www/wptbox/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(287): Jetpack::load_modules(”) #4 /var/www/wptbox/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(311): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #5 /var/www/wptbox/wp-includes/plugin.php(478): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #6 /var/www/wptbox/wp-settings.php(409): do_action(‘plugins_loaded’) #7 /var/www/wptbox/wp-config.php(99): require_once(‘/var/www/wptbox…’) #8 /var/www/wptbox/wp-load.php(37): require_once(‘/var/www/wptbox…’) #9 /var/www/wptbox/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once(‘/var/www/wptbox…’) #10 /var/www/wptbox/index.php(17): require(‘/var/ in /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/shortcodes/hulu.php on line 279

I removed Jetpack from my installation to see if this resolves the issue, but it did not. When trying to access the backend, I get this error message (among other warnings):

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/contact-form//admin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/contact-form/grunion-contact-form.php on line 17

Anyone any idea how to resolve this?

    Hi there,

That error indicates that there may have been some files missing made your Jetpack installation. It may have been an old version of Jetpack.

To resolve this issue, you will need to log in to your site via FTP or CPanel, delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder, and reinstall the plugin from scratch.

You’ll find the Jetpack plugin folder here:
    /wp-content/plugins/jetpack/

If you are unsure on how to do this, I would reach out to your hosting company for assistance. Once you have successfully removed the plugin entirely, try a fresh install:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this works for you.

    Thanks,

I just had this error happen on my site too, when restoring from a backup made earlier in the day. I was able to delete the plugin via ftp and get the site operable again, but i was unable to fully reinstall and activate jetpack without creating the same error. my webhost deleted all the files on the server PRIOR to restoring from the same backup, and this was able to restore correctly, but now there seem to be some errors in woo commerce.

@mellowvision can you give a link to your site, and the exact error you’re seeing?

As you’re seeing WooCommerce errors, have you tried completely reinstalling that plugin?

yes I have tried completely reinstalling that plugin, as well as woo commerce services and jetpack… does not fully correct the issues and introduces other errors.

I can not share a url at this time.

I am currently running the backup restore, that is not updated. But just since restoring, I have had to delete jetpack and reinstall just to get it to load any page. I have also noticed I am seeing woocommerce errors in console, on woo related pages. pasting some errors below in code.

@hi @darnelldibbles thanks for your guidance.
Turned out the host needed to clear its cache for the changes I made to take effect. So now I have access to my site, at least on the backend.

Reactivated Jepack and it is all working again.

    Thanks again.
