My WordPress site has noted me about a fatal error after the recent update of your plugin “Elementor Header & Footer builder” to version 1.6.29. The wp-admin site crashed. I have now deactivated the plugin.

What can I do now? I would like to continue using the plugin.

  • Same for me, hoping to get a solution to this ASAP.

there is a PR already https://github.com/brainstormforce/header-footer-elementor/pull/806 so hopefully 1.6.30 will be out soon

    Same here ??

Remove the plugin for now from cpanel. It will fix the problem. Wait for their stable update.

I’ve also had this issue and can’t access my dashboard even in recovery mode. Have had to contact my host to ask them to disable the plugin from their end as I don’t know how to do it. Hope there is a solution soon

I experienced the same issue and now can’t access my website. What should I do? I need this plugin, and my website traffic is currently high. This is very concerning.

Saw this on another thread and it has worked for me –

-First disable the Headers and Footers plugin. If you don’t have access to your WP site anymore because of the Error, you go to the Plugins folder on your hosting (WP content > plugins) and rename the plugin Elementor Headers & Footers. This should give you your access to WP back.
-Next, install the plugin WP Rollback.
-Next, make sure the Headers and Footers plugin is deactivated. Probably it is.
-Rename the folder of the plugin to its original name.
-Refresh the plugin page in WP
-Click on Rollback on the Headers and Footers plugin, choose earlier version. And Roll back.
-Activate Headers and Footers plugin. But DO NOT UPDATE. I tried; it will crash your site again!

Idem pour mon site ! J’ai peur de faire n’importe quoi en desactivant le plug-in, pensez-vous que le probleme va etre rapidement résolu ?

Download this previous version https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/header-footer-elementor.1.6.28.zip… from cpanel delete the plugin with new update then upload and extract the previous version.

My issue has been quickly resolved by my hosting provider. Thanks, Hostinger! They mentioned that the problem with this plugin is in line 32 of header-footer-elementor.php. Now I can access my website again.

You can follow the tutorial from the helpful folks here or, if you have a responsive hosting provider, ask them to check the line I mentioned above. Specifically, if there’s a crash on line 32 in the folder plugin header footer elementor, open the file header-footer-elementor.php and disable line 32 by adding a # at the beginning of the line.

    Good luck!

I have followed the tutorial by ranjanbarman (@ranjanbarman), thanks mate. Back in WordPress a new update to Elementor Header & Footer Builder appears. Update and activate. Check that everything has been resolved. Greetings.

I m a freelance web dev, I pretty much use this plugin in every project, from morning i recived mails from 4 clients that this plugin causing site crash ??

For those who are facing issue, Contact the Hosting Provider to disable the plugin, then go to your dashboard and use the WordPress menu from Elementor. I did that for my client’s and when everything will get fixed, then change the site to previous design, there is no other solution.

    Hi everyone,

We’re sorry for the mess. We have fixed the issue. Please install the latest update, v1.6.31, to resolve this problem.

If your site login page is not accessible, you will need to disable the plugin using FTP. Here is an article that explains how to disable a plugin using FTP.

As mentioned in the article, you need to rename the plugin folder. As mentioned in the last comment above, the one you need to rename is the header-footer-elementor folder. Once you rename the folder, you can log in to your site and reinstall the plugin.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
