• This is quickly turning in to a nightmare of a New Years Day…

I went to upgrade several of our blogs delay and all of them went fine, except for one.

I downloaded the backup, then went through the process of updating. After all of the files were in place I ran the upgrade URL and the database setup supposedly went fine.

I then went to look at the site and this is all that is there.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_kses_bad_protocol() in /home/conserv9/public_html/bluecollarmuse/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1129

And to make matters worse, the backup folder somehow became corrupted.

What do I do??? Anyone have this issue before me?

Also, I thought it might be the theme (upgraded from an old version), but I can’t get logged in to switch to the default and see if that is the problem.

wp_kses_bad_protocol() is defined in wp-includes/kses.php on line 541 (WP 2.3.2).

What version were you upgrading from? It looks like the old files didn’t get overwritten properly or the new files were corrupted. Perhaps try different ftp client and upload all WP files again.
