    Hi,

Hoping you can help… I did the automatic upgrade to 2.8 and now when I log in I just get this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_site_admin() in /home/fhlinux152/b/blog.XXXXXXXXXXXX.co.uk/user/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/sem-google-analytics/sem-google-analytics-admin.php on line 20

I’d be grateful for any help thanks.

    Andrew

This is the general error you get after an upgrade when it fails to get ALL the WordPress files on your site.

Manually upgrade, and make sure all the WordPress files get on there.

Help! I was upgrading to version 2.8 with the automatic plugin and had a similar problem. (I have done this before and it worked great.)

Now I can’t log into my dashboard – I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_site_admin() in /home/canyon4/public_html/simplehomesolarenergy/wp-content/plugins/sem-google-analytics/sem-google-analytics-admin.php on line 20

I will try your advice and manually upgrade.

    Thanks so much…

    /plugins/sem-google-analytics

just rename this folder via ftp – this will deactivate it

Thanks samboll – that’s fixed it for me.

samboll – Would the fatal error have been prevented by disabling plugins first? I’m about to try the auto upgrade from 2.8 to 2.8.2, and will disable plugins first. Is there any other thing I can do to make it go smoothly? Permissions? I’ve not altered permissions at all…
