    Hi,

site broke down and mailchimp seems to have caused it after the WP 6.1 update. Hope for speedy update. Thank you! Great the product to work with!

I’ve seen this earlier today on a site, but it was after updating another plugin. Actually the client probably updated multiple plugins at once. If you remove the plugin you updated last via FTP or your hosts filemanger, you can login again and reinstall the plugin. It should probably work.

Thank you everyone who reported this issue! We are currently investigating and working on a fix.

To help us tackle the problem quicker:
    1. Could you please post a list of WordPress plugins you have installed.
    2. Could you try to downgrade to an older MailPoet version (3.101.1 – can be downloaded here) and see if it helps?

    MailPoet Team.

SOLUTION: The Error was caused by using a 5.6 database on one on the sites. Other sites with a 5.7 or better 8.0 database did not experience this issue.

Actionpoint: update the database to 5.7 or higher (8.0).

This should solve the issue. Enabling the PHP extensions POD, PDO_MYSQL, XML and ZIP as well as mbstring is necessary.

    Hey again @mishoo28 !

Just a note that we have a hotfix version of MailPoet coming out to fix this.

I won’t bore you with too many details, but basically WordPress 6.1 changed how it handled normalizer and some other pieces of software are not happy about that.

Here’s where it’s being chatted about for a WordPress bug fix:
    https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/56980

There’s a couple things you can do in the meantime while waiting on a MailPoet release:

immediate fix: downgrade to WP 6.0
long term solution: install intl extension for PHP, then upgrade to WP 6.1

Or you can just wait for the MailPoet release, which should happen just a bit later today.
