    Hi Guys

After updating WP to version 4.4.1 my site kept returning server 500 errors. I disabled all my plugins and was able to gain access to my site. After activating the plugins one at a time, I didn’t encounter any problems until I tried to activate MailPoet.

WP won’t allow me to activate it, instead it just says ‘Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.’

I was really finding the plugin a joy to use but at the moment I’m stuck without it. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Jim

  • Can you enable your WordPress Debug Mode to see the proper error message behind the 500 error?

I’m afraid not because since disabling the MailPoet plugin I’m not getting server 500 errors anymore.

When I try to activate the plugin, like I said, WP won’t allow me.

Sorry if that isn’t very helpful.

Well its still not working – I guess it must be a compatibility issue between your plugin and the new version of wordpress.

Time to find another newsletter plugin. Sorry.

well on my sites it works like a charm – so maybe you run into an edge case or it’s something with your setuo … ^^

Can you tell me, if I remove the plugin and reinstall – will I lose all my current subscribers? Or is there a way to protect that part of the database?

Deleted plugin and reinstalled – working fine again.
