When opening the settings page, I get a “Fatal error”

“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7864320 bytes) in ../wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/wppa-settings-autosave.php on line 4513”

Previously, there were no problems. Is there anyone who can help me with this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kees

  • This is a site issue – not a plugin specific one. Try increasing the memory available to PHP.

    Thank you esmi

That certainly seems to be. But than I wonder why a settings page needs so much more memory than the slideshows.

The settings page does not use so much memory.
Clean up your options db table by removing the _transient… entries.
The settings page requires 9.5 Mb.

Thank you, I will do so.

All _transient… entries are removed but it did not solved the problem. I have no problems with uploading files or anything else, only the settings page still do not load.

How many users do you have registered on your site approximately? 10, 100, 1000, 10000 or more?

    Thread Starter Kees

I am the only registered user.

    What I just have done:

I have exported the pictures and save it on my pc so nothing will be lost.

I just have made a subdomain with a new WP, a new database en WPPA installed. There are no problems loading the settings page so far and I have succesfully imported my pictures.

So I think “To solve my problem I will remove the plugin from my site and remove all the wppa lines from the database.”

Then I will install the plugin again, see what happens when I load the settings page and import the pictures from the WPPA-depot if everything is fine.

Well, that did not solved the problem.

however, my newly created subdomain with the fresh install is now showing the same problem.

Thanks for your response and efforts

    Update to 5.2.17 done.
Unfortunately, the problem persists. I think I’m going to contact my hosting provider that I will send a copy of this discussion.
