Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 14814967 bytes) in /web/htdocs/www.MYSITE.it/home/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1092

I got this error on the admin panel after activating NextGEN plugin. I had it deactivated for a while as I was testing another gallery plugin, now I decided to activate it back and it “seems” to work as I can see all the

on my site just working fine. But I can’t access the admin panel anymore. Some info:

    – WordPress 4.3
    – NextGEN last version
    – MySQL 5.1.73
    – PHP 5.6.13
    – Pinnacle Theme
    – Plugins activated:

    • Admin Bar Disabler
    • Akismet
    • Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
    • P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler)
    • Shadowbox JS
    • Shortcodes Ultimate
    • Simple Ajax Shoutbox
    • Super Socializer

I deactivated ALL the plugins, but when I try to activate ONLY NextGEN I get the same error message. Wht should I do? Thank you.

@rinoadiary – Generally errors such as these (memory exhausted) are more likely to be found on the server side of things than the WordPress installation. In most cases 256MB as the PHP Memory Limit is generally more than enough to work with anything but it seems in this case there is something on your site that is consuming a great deal of memory when NextGEN Gallery is activated.

Is the error _exactly_ the same (as in the allocated bytes is exactly the same) with all plugins deactivated and you try to activate NextGEN Gallery? Do you also see this if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    – Cais.
