Fatal error: allowed memory size of X exhausted

    Getting the error below when trying to load a child of a top level item in the Tree View for a Custom Post Type with >75,000 pages (it contains a hierarchy of countries > cities > towns etc)

    <b>Fatal error</b>:  Allowed memory size of 176160768 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 64 bytes) in
 <b>/home/ratesfgx/public_html/wp-includes/meta.php</b> on line <b>837</b><br />

    Any ideas how to stop it being such a memory hog when trying to load the children?
