Fatal Error blocking installation

I had Mail Poet running on my site until a few days ago when it shut the site down with an error. Having installed, removed and reinstalled multiple times it is still doing the same thing. Now I have it sitting in the plugins area but it isn’t activated. As soon as I try to activate it I get the message saying it cannot be installed as it is triggering a fatal error.
