Fatal error: Call

  • Hi.
    My website returns this error when i try to load the home page: Fatal error: Call to undefined function apply_filters() in /home1/ligindog/public_html/wp-includes/load.php on line 316
    Can you help me restore it back to normal?It was initially related to a plugin but it did not go away even after i disabled it.

    That’s odd. Have you deleted your plugin files? If you have, then try renaming the entire plugins folder to something else, this way all plugins will be disabled. If that doesn’t work the next one to be renamed is your theme folder (you can rename just your theme’s folder or the parent theme folder, but that would return a white screen – but at least you should be able to log in)

    If none of these work you’ll probably need to reinstall the WP files to make sure no edits have been made to core files (some plugins add extra files that are still there even after you disable or delete them).
