Fatal error: Call to a member function add()

    I have just installed the plugin. When I try to register I get a Fatal Error.

    Fatal error: Call to a member function add() on a non-object in /wp-content/plugins/captcha/captcha.php on line 561.

    I have tried the latest version of the plugin (2.4.1 as time of writing) and also an older version of the plugin (2.26) which the compatibility section was recommended to work with WordPress 3.2.1.
