Got this error after an auto update to 4.7:
Fatal error: Call to a member function do_all_hook() on array in /home/ebikesby/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 837

Not sure what to do. Please help! Thanks!

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Er…I can’t even get into admin page after 4.7 update:
Warning: require(/virtual/waikanaegolfclub.co.nz/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-list-util.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /virtual/waikanaegolfclub.co.nz/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 97

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/virtual/waikanaegolfclub.co.nz/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-list-util.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /virtual/waikanaegolfclub.co.nz/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 97

    Any ideas?
    Many thanks

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I just now resolved it with the help of my host’s support. I’m still trying to figure out what he did, but he said he renamed the object-cache.php file from the wp-content folder. Anyway, working now. Thanks!

I can confirm I had the same issue and renamed the object-cache.php file and voila! Everything works.
