• After upgrading to 3.0 my site went down and with some troubleshooting I found out that it was due to the events calendar, but since then I have been unable to make any changes in the admin panel to the pages or posts, and when I click on add new page I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /nfs/c02/h08/mnt/30882/domains/post911foundation.org/html/wp-content/plugins/broken-link-checker/includes/containers/post.php on line 247

The donate button has also been erased from the homepage after deactivating the events calendar.

*Update* After uploading a few of the new updates I don’t seem to be getting the fatal error anymore, but I still get a blank page whenever I click on posts/pages or add new to either.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Yeah, after updating the broken link checker I don’t get the fatal error anymore but I get a blank page when I click on pages/posts or add new to either.

    Thanks for your help

    Try disabling the plugin?

    (@ryanneil)

Tried that and it didn’t change anything.

It looks like everything else in the admin panel is working fine, it’s just posts and pages.

Try disabling other plugins and switching theme.

Generally most problems are plugin or theme related, i’d be surprised if doing both of the above doesn’t narrow down the issue.

Can you please detail the following if disabling plugins and switching theme doesn’t help.

    Server type: Linux or Windows
    PHP Version: x
    MySQL Version: x
Upgrade Procedure: Manual upgrade or auto-update

Also try enabling debugging and see if the blank page now produces an error instead.

I tried disabling all the plugins and switching the theme and no success.

    Server type: linux
    PHP Version: 4.4.8
    MySQL Version:
    Upgrade Procedure: auto

I’m not sure how to retrieve the MySQL version number. I’m not a coder, I’m just trying to fix this for my father.

    Thanks

    Download a copy of WordPress.
    https://www.ads-software.com/download/

Overwrite your existing wp-includes and wp-admin (not wp-content) folders with the ones from the zip.

And see if that resolves the problem.

    That didn’t work either..

Try running the upgrade page and see if WordPress offers to upgrade the installation.

    Query your site like so..

    example.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php

Beyond that, unfortunately i’m out of ideas at this point.

What pages are showing blank, just the pages for adding and editing posts or page? Any source code in the page if you view source?

    Thread Starter RyanNeil

    (@ryanneil)

Yeah, the pages for add/edit/view pages and posts. It does show the source code when I view source.

I’ll try the upgrade and see if that works.

*it says that I don’t need the update

    Thanks for your help
