So, I can and navigate through my website…but when I try to login or get to my dashboard, I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_taxonomies_for_attachments() in D:\hosting\10085566\html\wp-admin\menu.php on line 67

Anyone have any idea what this is and how to fix it? It’s so annoying…lol.

    Thanks!

Sounds like someone is offering a corrupt download. Did you use the automatic update?

Yes, I did, and I don’t think it finished. I read the other posts, and didn’t think to go through my hosting (godaddy) and update there – it worked, so I’ll leave it alone until they fix whatever other errors.

    Thank you tomontoast!

get_taxonomies_for_attachments() is a new function introduced in 3.5 and is defined in wp-includes/media.php

If your getting an undefined function error for it you still have the old media.php file and your update failed.

You will need to manually re install 3.5 following the codex Manual Update instructions.

Hi I’m also trying to update wordpress,
I also tried to use the automatic update and now when i try to open my dashboard i get

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_taxonomies_for_attachments() in D:\hosting\10085566\html\wp-admin\menu.php on line 67,

after reading your advice above Chris Olbekson, i will try to upload using the Manual Update instructions. using filezilla with my web host,
problem is the first thing manual instructions says after open up down loaded wordpress zip file is turn off all plugins but i cant get into my dashboard to achieve this
    any advice please?
