It would have been fairer if you just looked at the support thread that offered a temporary solution instead of leaving a 1-star feedback.

Please try deleting the file /includes/classes.php from the plugin’s directory and see again. And make sure you use the latest version (1.5).

The plugin don’t work out of the box so is 1 star.
I read the support and you answer 1 week a go and no new version with a solution.
Was faster doing a regex search on custom php script on the whole server.
I hope you will find a solutions and then i will try again the plugin.

    Hi lickthetoad,

In my opinion, I don’t think it is a fair review when you haven’t been able to run the plugin. As thaikojia already said, he has a problem with his svn program when packing the plugin and upload to wordpress repository. You can use a temporary solution here, very simple:

In order to get rid of it, you just simply delete the “thumbnail-cleaner.php” in both “admin” and “classes” folder in your installation plugin folder: “\\wp-content\plugins\thumbnail-cleaner”.

Until now, this is the only plugin on the wordpress repository plugin that will help people clean up their uploads folder which always full of unused thumbnails and causes a headache every time we do a backup or restore.

I hope you re-consider your rating. This plugin works incredibly fast and good.

    Best regards,

Thanks for your opinion henry265, I see it similarly.

lickthetoad: I hope you know that plugins and themes you find on WP.org are free. Some of them are being developed by people – like me – who work in the web developing industry and have lots of clients from different parts of the world who just have a higher priority when it comes to updates. If you expect that everything runs out of the box after every update, you should consider paying for the service.

Even though my plugins are free, I try to put a high level on quality in them. But bugs can occur – that’s the nature of software, especially when you work with many version control systems like SVN at the same time.

If you want to support my work and work of other developers, you can download a modified version here and replace it with the old one. I didn’t have the time to run a whole bunch of tests, but this version should eliminate the error, and if it works for you, I’m going to release a hotfix the very same day I get your response. Maybe this amount of support will let you think about if Thumbnail Cleaner is only worth 1 star.

Please disregard the linked version of the plugin from my previous post.

The new version 1.5.0, which is still in development, can be downloaded here for testing. It should remove the errors and some other small bugs.

Please help me making this Thumbnail Cleaner better by testing it and reporting any errors or bugs back to me so I can publish the reviewed version as soon as possible.
