Fatal Error: Cannot Redeclare class WP_Locale

  • I was backing up my files so I could do the upgrade to 3.0 and when I went to log back in to do the upgrade, I got the following error:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WP_Locale in /home/content/98/6013198/html/wp-includes/locale.php on line 14

    What does this mean????

  • That’s usually caused by one of those calendar/events plugins. Deactivate the plugin and it should be fine.
    Its a function from a plugin conflicting with a WP function.
    After the upgrade you might be able to reinstall the plugin.
